**Master server**
CoD4x is running its own master server. The master server is used to communicate running game servers to the clients. Note that the CoD4x master server only lists CoD4x servers of the latest main version. As you might notice while playing, the CoD4x Clients server browser supports both the original ATVI master server as well as the CoD4x master server.

You will need a token if you want your server to be listed on the [Cod4x Master List](https://cod4master.cod4x.ovh). You can generate a token [here](https://cod4master.cod4x.ovh/index.php?token_generator=true).
Once a token is generated add it to the sv\_authtoken cvar in server.cfg or command-line parameters by using `sv_authtoken "mytokenhere`

You can read more about Cod4x through the documentation on our [Github](https://github.com/callofduty4x)
