A: Open console with `(~)` and type /com\_maxfps, common FPS changes are 333, 250, and 125. ## Q: Where are my demos located? A: Your demos can be stored in different folders depending which mode you played. Either `main\demos` or `main\mods\modname` ## Q: I’ve purchase CoD4 on the Microsoft store / Game Pass, how do I play CoD4x? A: We have had loads of questions and concerns about this, we have not found any solutions yet. Just return the game and purchase on Steam. ## Q: Where are my config files located? A: Check your filters, make sure you have PunkBuster checked OFF because its no longer supported. You may also need to whitelist on your firewall iw3mp.exe or disable from blocking it. ## Q: How can I play CoD4x on MAC? A: A native version of CoD4x is not available for Mac computers. We are sorry for not providing a Mac version of CoD4x, but for the very small audience and our limited resources it is not feasible to support other operating systems natively. If you still want to run CoD4x on a Mac consider using [Bootcamp](https://support.apple.com/de-at/guide/bootcamp-assistant/welcome/mac) or [CrossOver](https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover/) a paid solution of wine to rune windows apps in macOS. A: Locate your pb folder, remove any cfg. files from the folder. Restart your game and it will be fixed. ## Q: How do I disable the Steam Overlay while in game? A: Open `Settings` \> `In-Game Options` \> deselect `Enable Steam Overlay While In-Game` \> Click `OK` and its now disabled. ## Q: How do I fix this annoying PunkBuster error? A: Download the PunkBuster files for Cod4 on [GitHub](https://github.com/promod/CoD-PunkBuster-Files), copy the pb folder and put it inside your Cod4 directory. ## Q: Why does my game have FPS drops and mouse glitching! A: To resolve FPS drops and mouse issues, you should consider installing a custom OS that removes Windows bloatware like Edge, People, OneDrive, and other unnecessary components, while also applying extra tweaks and improvements. Some custom OS options we’ve tried include [Revision OS](https://www.revi.cc/docs/playbook/install), and [FoxOS](https://theultimatefoxos.dev/). Lots of people use Revision OS. Although it’s ideal to perform a clean Windows install, you install it on top of your existing Windows 11 setup and it works just fine.
