Cod4x crashes when I launch it

I installed cod4x normally, launched it and then it crashes WTF

did you install directX?

Cod4x is crashing for me as well. It runs perfectly on patch 1.7. But when I install the latest Cod4x patch 21.1 it does not launch anymore. It does not even start anymore. I am on Windows 11. I also installed DirectX and enabled stereo mix.
