Does this client works for steam version of the game?

I actually see that there are some of the servers of CoD4 and some servers are named like “Downgrade to 1.7”.

I have bought cod4 in steam and its version is 1.8. Does anybody know how to downgrade it to 1.7?

Also I was tried to add CoD4x mod, but no success. Once I try to open it from steam it tells me with error “impure iw3mp file” (something like that, I can add the screenshot).

Do you guys play this game from steam ?

Do you know how to joing 1.7 servers? (uninstall 1.8, 1.7 downgrade)

Perfect, thank you. I configured everything and now I can join COD4x servers.

I am happy that it’s not dead yet.

Do you know how can I join to this another servers? like ‘Uninstall 1.8’, "Many server on 1.7’, etc.?

Cod4x is backwards compatible with 1.7, you can connect to 1.7 servers without removing/changing anything :slight_smile:
